5 Round Swiss: USCF rated (membership required); Open is also FIDE rated;
Reserve + Bantam USCF rated only; USCF used for prizes

Rounds: Saturday 10am, 3pm, 7:30pm & Sunday 10am, 3pm

Single $29 or double w/ twin beds available, $20 person. No A/C; bring a fan.

Anyone wishing to get a room on campus will need to fill out THIS FORM. Once completed, send form to Melinda Yingling directly at myinglin@uwsuper.edu with the subject line: Chess Tournament Guest Housing.
Check-In: On Friday will be ONLY from 6-8pm in Crownhart Hall. Saturday check-in will take place at the Yellowjacket Union Information Desk during business hours, 8-4pm. Checkout will be at 12pm. Keys should be dropped in the mail slot on the front desk door of the hall.
Parking is free from 4:30pm Friday to end of event on Sunday.

This tournament is part of the MSCA’s Summer Grand Prix Series, you can read about the $2,000 in prizes and State Championship Playoff Qualification that is available to the winners of the Summer Grand Prix Points competition.

Unrated/FIDE players who have never played a US Chess regular-rated tournament will be considered unrated. Unrated players with a FIDE rating must disclose it to a TD. Their rating is FIDE + 100 = USCF. Players who have rating history but are published as unrated will have their up-to-date US Chess rating used for pairings, prizes, and section eligibility.

Forfeit time: A player who has not shown up to their game 30 minutes after the tournament directors start the round will receive a forfeit loss.

Consistent with the MSCA Prize Distribution Policy, chess players must be MSCA members to receive a cash prize.
