The 2nd annual Minnesota State Quick Championship was held on October 18 at the Plymouth Community Center. In the end, a familiar name topped the 77 player table: Sammy Narayanan is our new Quick Champ! 🙌 Thank you to TDs Jenny Bourne and Suhaas Pothula for a great job running the show. 🙏
Quick 🔥 US Chess Results 💵 Prize Winners
October 25-26 saw the State Senior Championship happening at the Chess Castle at Southdale Mall in Edina. We had a solid turnout of 25 players and a three-way tie for first place between Leonard Johnson, Okey Iwu, and Tim Radermacher. They will play off for the opportunity to represent Minnesota at the 2026 Irwin National Tournament of Senior State Champions.
Dan Voje won the 65+ trophy. 🏆️ Thank you to Jiten Patel for running the tournament and for sharing pictures from both events.
