Under 50? The Castle is holding a “Younger Folks” Open on the same weekend. 🌱

The events together have a nice “medium-sized” tournament feel, where us gray hairs are safe from being haunted by our fearsome up-and-coming youth, who must instead bedevil each other. 👻 Happy Halloween! 🎃

🏰 The Chess Castle is holding six monthly scholastic tournaments starting on Sunday, November 3, the Scholastic Grand Prix! 🚀 MSCA Affiliate’s Event

🎭️️ Pat LaVone will be presenting “Beyond the Queen’s Gambit” at the Mraz Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, November 2, 7:30-9pm. “An insightful, inspiring and humorous look at chess for parents, teachers and everybody else.” A portion of the proceeds go to the Nicollet Knights Chess Club and other chess organizations. (Not an MSCA Event)
